Eighteen holes that fight back

Sip n Putt is an 18-hole miniature golf course in New Braunfels, Texas, built into the Hill Country rather than stamped out of a mold. Hand-set rock, water that actually runs, real elevation, and holes long enough that reading the green matters. Three difficulty levels on the same eighteen.

What makes this course different?

It is a landscaped course rather than a carpet strip with a windmill: hand-placed limestone and rust rock, water features that actually run, real elevation changes, and holes long enough that your putter matters. The same line shows up in review after review - much longer than the typical mini golf course, and a lot better looking.

Three difficulty levels

The same eighteen holes serve a five-year-old and a scratch golfer. Easy lines exist on every hole. So do the ones that will humble you, and the difference is usually about two feet of read.

Rock set by hand

Every wall, ledge, and water feature was built on site. It is the reason the course photographs the way it does, and the reason no two holes feel alike.

Lit for night play

Pathways and holes light up after dark. The course changes character completely at night, and the sunset round is the one locals book their evening around.

Number six, the water hole.

A channel of water runs the length of the hole with white sand banking one side. Play it safe down the right and take the extra stroke. Try the short line across the water and find out if you are as good as you say you are.

"...some deceiving slopes that are thrilling to get right."

Built by hand, one rock at a time.

Sip n Putt opened in New Braunfels in January 2023 after months of shaping ground, setting stone, and laying greens. The photos below are from the build. The water features, the terraced walls, the elevation, all of it went in by crew and by hand before a single putt was struck.

How long does 18 holes take?

About an hour for most groups, closer to two if you take your time between holes. The course runs longer than typical mini golf, so give yourself the evening rather than squeezing it in.
